Aline Veillat wurde 1967 auf der zu Frankreich gehörenden Île de la Réunion geboren und lebt und arbeitet in der Schweiz. Sie hat digitale Medien an der Ecole cantonale d’art in Lausann studierte und an der Universität Paris eine Dissertation im Bereich Ästhetik, Wissenschaft und Technik in den Künsten verfasst. Ihr künstlerisches Schaffen gründet in ihrem Interesse an der Raumwahrnehmung. Sie geht der Frage nach, woraus das Umfeld besteht, das die Wahrnehmung des Raums beeinflusst. So ist in ihren Werken die Mobilität der Besucher zentral und ihre Arbeiten werden letztendlich alle zu Installationen, in welchen sich die Besucher bewegen und welche sie erforschen können. Aline Veillats Werke wurden u.a. in der Kunsthalle Palazzo im Baselland, im kult.kino camera in Basel und im Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst in Zürich ausgestellt. [..]

Aniu wurde 1969 in der Provinz Guangdong geboren und schloss seine Ausbildung 1993 am Shanghai Light Industry Institute ab. Seither lebt und arbeitet er in Shenzhen. Er ist Mitglied der französischen Fotoagentur VU und hat seine Arbeiten in China, Dänemark, Frankreich, Belgien, Italien, Singapur, Hongkong und Australien ausgestellt. Seine Publikation „Times of Fantasy“ ist 2007 erschienen. [..]

Chengdu Institute of Biology (CIB), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), was founded in 1958, and was chosen in 1999 as one of the experimental institutes for implementing the Knowledge Innovation Programme of the CAS, which aims at promoting the innovative capacity of its affiliated research institutes through key input in human resources and research funds. Now, CIB has a staff of 316 people, including 1 academician and more than 100 senior researchers.

With southwestern China as its focal working area, CIB aims primarily at sustainable development and utilization, and effective conservation of biological resources. While continuously rising its institutional capacity of innovation, CIB integrates the important state needs in the fields of human health, restoration ecology and sustainable agriculture with the world frontiers of modern sciences to carry out basic and applied researches, as well as high-tech research of natural medicine, ecological restoration and rehabilitation, biodiversity conservation, pollution control, modern agriculture and food security,so as to provide knowledge bases, technical supports and policy-making sugges tions for sustainable socio-economic development of the country.

• Remote-sensing, mapping, GIS, and Agroecology.

Artistic background:

Liao Wenfeng wurde 1984 in der Provinz Jiangxi geboren und schloss seine Ausbildung an der China Academy of Fine Arts 2006 ab. Seine Arbeiten wurden 2007 am Lianzhou International Photo Festival in Guangdong, 2006 an der Chinese Contemporary Art in Chinese Space in Shanghai und am Second Art Festival of Song Zhuang in Beijing sowie 2005 in Nanjing an der Triennal of Chinese Art gezeigt. Er hat auch als Assistenzkurator und Projektmanager für das Zendai Musuem of Modern Art in Shanghai gearbeitet. [..]
